worth the taste 🇹🇹
a four-month food + drink storytelling partnership by @ms.semple
everybody remembers something that tastes good. but what makes yours worth talking about?
i’m inviting a select number of restaurants, cafés, chefs, caterers, food + drink vendors, producers, packaged products + local brands in tobago to apply for a four-month creative partnership.
together, we’ll explore the stories, people, recipes + experiences behind what you serve, creating content that makes people curious, hungry + excited to discover you.
paid partnerships · four-month commitment · monthly payments · limited opportunities

tobago has so much to offer when it comes to food + drink, from family recipes and traditional dishes to homemade treats, local beverages + products people might not even know exist.
but what makes someone choose yours, try it for the first time, recommend it to a friend or keep coming back for more?
perhaps it’s the story behind the recipe, an unusual ingredient, the person who started the business, the way something is made or the memories people associate with it.
these are the details that create curiosity, connection + conversation, yet they’re often missing from traditional food + drink marketing.
worth the taste is about giving people more than something to eat or drink. it’s about giving them something to discover, remember + recommend.
-
i’ve visited tobago five times over the last two and a half years, and somewhere along the way, i genuinely fell in love with the island.
food has been a big part of those visits. i’ve enjoyed discovering places to eat, meeting the people behind them + naturally sharing my experiences through @ms.semple with audiences in london + internationally.
as the founder of riónce arts club + studios, i also understand what goes into running a business, creating experiences + building relationships that bring people back.
i’m passionate about supporting businesses, particularly the people + stories behind them. i’d love to combine that with my experience in storytelling, photography + creative direction to help more people discover what tobago has to offer.

‘worth the taste’ is a four-month creative partnership exploring what makes your food, drink, product or experience genuinely worth choosing.
whether you run a restaurant, bake cakes from home, produce bottled drinks, sell homemade sauces or create something completely different, we’ll explore what makes your offering special.
through candid documentation, interviews, scripted films, editorial photography + creative direction, we’ll develop content that makes people curious enough to discover, try + share what you offer.
not just another food review, product photograph or promotional graphic.
some stories will be informative, some entertaining, some nostalgic + others won’t need a single word.
the aim is to make your business more recognisable, memorable + worth trying.
-
four months per partnership.
applications are open to food + drink businesses, including independent makers, producers, sellers, venues + established brands.
each partnership includes an agreed monthly investment, payable every month throughout the four-month term.
start dates, production schedules, filming locations, product requirements + creative priorities will be discussed during our initial conversation.
some of my tobago stories
a lot of my relationship with tobago has already played out publicly; simply sharing what i've found, learnt + loved while i've been there.

through riónce caribbean, i’m building a community + developing experiences and a physical zine centred around caribbean culture, connection + keeping knowledge circulating across generations.
my vision goes beyond social media. i’d love to bring more of this work to tobago, including creative retreats for founders, artists, designers, photographers, musicians + writers, alongside separate experiences for over-50s reconnecting with themselves + their sense of purpose.
tobago wouldn’t simply be the destination. its people, businesses, culture + experiences would be an important part of what we create.
that means staying locally, eating + buying from tobagonian businesses, working with local creatives, exploring with local guides + learning from the island.
for food + drink partners, this could create opportunities for catering, tastings, group dining, product purchases, recommendations + repeat business.
ultimately, i’d love our storytelling, magazine + in-person experiences to work together, giving more people reasons to discover tobago, visit + support the businesses that make it special.
how we could work together
i’m looking to build paid, four-month partnerships with a select number of food + drink businesses, with a monthly fee payable throughout the partnership.
the exact arrangement will depend on your business, goals + what works commercially for both of us.
-
an ongoing partnership covering an agreed combination of food, drink or product storytelling, photography, video production, visual direction + marketing support.
we’ll develop a creative plan, agree on deliverables + schedule production across four months, with a fixed monthly payment.
-
for businesses with several products, flavours, collections, outlets or locations.
we can develop individual stories for different products, recipes, people + locations while creating a consistent visual approach across your business.
pricing will reflect the scale of production + agreed scope.
-
paid opportunities for sponsored features through @ms.semple, product integrations, dedicated campaigns, event coverage, additional production + other creative services.
these can be added to an existing partnership, with separate fees agreed in advance.
complimentary food, drinks, products or other contributions do not replace the agreed monthly partnership fee.
how we'd start
-
complete a short form introducing your business, what you make, sell or serve + what makes it different.
-
i’ll invite selected applicants to a video call where we can get to know each other, discuss your story, customers, goals, budget + creative needs.
-
if we’re a good fit, i’ll prepare a tailored four-month proposal outlining the creative plan, monthly investment, deliverables + any additional opportunities.
-
once we’ve agreed on everything, we’ll arrange the first visit, filming session or product shoot, begin production + develop the partnership over the following four months.
-
i’m looking for food + drink businesses that are genuinely interested in telling their stories differently.
ideally, you’ll be:
✓ open to sharing the people, recipes, products, processes + personality behind your business
✓ happy to collaborate creatively + provide reasonable access to your products, people or production process
✓ interested in improving your visibility, customer experience + long-term appeal
✓ ready to invest in a four-month paid partnership, with monthly payments
you don’t need a physical shop, huge following or perfectly developed brand. whether you’re baking from home, producing drinks, selling street food or running an established business, i’m interested in what makes your offering worth discovering.
why i'm interested in building this relationship
ultimately, i want to build lasting relationships with food + drink businesses whose products and experiences i can confidently recommend, create meaningful content for + potentially introduce to new audiences through my wider work.
i love tobago, keep returning to the island + want more people to experience its food, flavours, people + culture.
as a business owner myself, i know how much thought, work + personality goes into creating something people love. i’d like to help tell those stories + explore what we could make possible together.
